Hope4theOrphan (H4tO)/Themba

Gail was introduced to H4tO, and the vital role this ministry plays in the lives of orphaned children in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, by friends. Involvement in H4tO is one of the ways she seeks to live into her personal vision, “To be increasingly available and focused in helping others deepen their relationship with God and live out the results of growing in relationship with Him.”  While not being “on the ground” in Zimbabwe herself, she sees her involvement as a board member and through child sponsorship as a tangible way to have an impact in the lives of the children and families served by Hope4theOrphan.

Gail served for more than 18 years on staff with her church in various positions including Director of Leadership Development and Director of Spiritual Formation. She now works full time in Christian spiritual direction and soul care. 

Gail holds a BS degree in Interior Design from Baylor University and a certificate in spiritual direction through LeadershipTransformations’ Selah Certificate Program. She is also a member of ESDA – an association of Christ-centered Spiritual Directors. She will receive her Emmaus Certificate in Formational Leadership in the Spring of 2022. Gail’s favorite pastimes include running, reading and spending time with friends and family. Gail is married to Jerry, and they have three adult children and seven grandchildren.  She and Jerry reside in Katy, TX.
