Dr. Jerry Edmonson is the Founding and Lead Pastor of The Fellowship in Katy, TX.
He has served on the Themba Board since 2013 as both a member and chairman.
A former paratrooper and paramedic in the 82nd Airborne, Jerry graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in Psychology 1984, followed by a stint in sales management with Proctor and Gamble and Helene Curtis before attending and graduating from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree (MDiv) in 1990. After serving a few churches, Jerry and a handful of people began The Fellowship in Katy, TX in 1994.
He continues to be a lifelong learner, earning his Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in 2010 from Bakke Graduate University in Transformational Leadership for the Global City.
Jerry has led The Fellowship to be an externally focused church meeting needs locally and globally. In addition to founding The Fellowship, Jerry has been instrumental in the founding of several nonprofits serving the Katy community such as Treasure Cove, Kosmos Coffee, Compassion Katy, Friends of Sundown, and Katy Cares.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, running, working out with F3 and riding his Harley. Jerry and his wife, Gail, have three adult children and 7 grandchildren.
