Jim has been involved with H4tO in various capacities for over twenty years.

He currently serves as Treasurer.  Jim grew up in a ministry family and has always felt a call to meet the needs of God’s people in both physical and spiritual ways.

Jim is blessed to have been married for almost 25 years to Krista, daughter of Themba founders Allen and Janelle Avery.  He has four wonderful daughters, all in the midst of their educational journeys, who bring him great joy.  They are a big part of the motivation to help the children of Themba in their spiritual formation and education.  The name Themba means “Hope” and there is nothing more fulfilling than to be able to be a part of providing hope – for educational opportunities to thrive in this life but also for eternity spent with Christ.

Jim has 25 years of experience as a finance professional in executive management, corporate finance and institutional investing. Jim earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. in Business & Economics from Wheaton College.  In his free time Jim enjoys time with family, reading, snow-skiing, and working out with his local F3 community.  Jim resides with his family in Wheaton, Ill.
