Dear Sponsors and Friends,

We wanted to share with you the Christmas Party that the children and their families enjoyed a few months ago. Below is a report from Soneni to you where you will hear what a wonderful experience they all had!

Soneni writes…“It was a great day for the children and their caregivers. First the weather turned out to be very favorable and we were grateful to God for that. The week had begun wet and we were afraid that it was going to rain on the day of the party but it did not. It was the most attended Christmas party compared to the ones that we have held.

The children had prepared plays and song items and carols. Off course the highlight being the traditional play about the birth of Christ. We also had some family presentations, most of them songs.

The caregivers also presented song items. For some caregivers it was a time of thanksgiving as they shared testimonies of what God had done for them since the last Christmas party and during the course of the year. It was also a time of fellowship for both the children and the caregivers as some of them live far and only meet when we have functions. We just took a moment to observe how some caregivers excitedly hugged each other and realized the impact that Themba has had in building relationships. It was the same with the children. Above all, the food was delicious. We also had prepared small goodies which were take homes for the children. The day ended on a good note with food distribution; maize and rice for every family.

The children and the caregivers expressed their sincere appreciation for the love and support they receive from Themba. We also join with them to thank you and all those that have sacrificed to give of their finances and to pray for Themba.

May God richly bless you all!   Soneni”
